Although epilepsy is traditionally associated with tremors, rigidity and spasms, it is actually a much more diverse disease that can pose problems for patients with socialization.

In many cases, the operation succeeds in stopping the 30% of cases that do not respond to medication.

Dr Antonio Gil-Nagel, specialist in Ruber International Hospitalfrom Madrid, explains when it is wise to carry out the operation and what the intervention consists of.
