Various United States parliaments They were evacuated this Wednesday after receiving bomb threatssome of which turned out to be false, as reported by state authorities, local security forces and the media.

Local authorities reported receiving threats against state capitols. Connecticut, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Mississippi and Montana. Police inspected the buildings and as of Wednesday afternoon had found no explosives or suspicious materials.

For its part, the Mississippi Department of Public Safety stated that the “threat has already been averted”while that of Montana assured that the warning “was not credible” and that the state headquarters had reopened to the public.

The Connecticut State House was briefly closed before reopening after police determined the threat was a deceptionreported the ‘Middletown Press’.

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear detailed in a statement that “everyone was safe” and that the state Capitol had been evacuated while police investigated. “We are aware of similar threats to other offices across the country,” he noted in his statement.

Kentucky Secretary of State Michael Adams made similar comments, emphasizing that people could return to the Capitol safely.

The Lexington Herald-Leader revealed that an email was sent with a bomb threat against several secretaries of stateincluding Adams.
